NS is known for its smooth maneuverability derived from its directional shape, combining a well-balanced swing weight with freestyle elements. The particular handling of turns starting from the center, characteristic of the directional shape, allows for quick responsiveness throughout diverse three-dimensional terrains and guides you seamlessly into the next turn.
"Walk, climb, slide on Earth. Designed for mountain snowboarders, SPLITBOARDS are born. Splitting a snowboard in half and merely compensating for the lost functionality does not create something truly satisfying. These products are conceived solely for the purpose of splitboarding, starting from scratch. The 2.5D-shaped splitboard offers smooth maneuverability while ensuring reliable edge hold during walking. Additionally, employing Prepreg Carbon technology, lightweight products have been created to be used in various mountainous environments. These are MOUNTAIN PRODUCTS that strive to push the limits of walking, climbing, and sliding for mountain snowboarders."
The FIELD EARTH SPLITBOARD, born through an extremely challenging manufacturing process, is revolutionary. By processing prepreg carbon at high temperatures and pressures, which is different from the commonly used wet carbon, it is possible to create a thinner and super lightweight product compared to solid boards. While splitboards often experience camber deformation due to usage in various environments, the characteristics of prepreg carbon also help maintain camber for extended periods.
Moreover, the typical high flex of carbon significantly diminishes the riding performance of splitboards. However, it is possible to have control over the flex of the carbon itself, allowing FIELD EARTH to design the boards with a soft flex while adjusting for high responsiveness. This ensures smooth interaction between the two split halves, providing a similar feeling to solid boards. Due to these considerations, FIELD EARTH continues to adopt the highly challenging prepreg carbon as a tool for use in natural environments. Additionally, 2D and 2.5D shapes are susceptible to the irregularities of the snow surface, resulting in intense board vibrations that affect stability and edge contact. To minimize unnecessary vibrations while maintaining torsion interplay, FIELD EARTH laminates thin aluminum sheets between the vertically aligned cores, reducing vibrations. This core construction technique is also employed in FIELD EARTH's 2.5D SKI. By the way, 3D shapes, which capture the snow surface at points, are not influenced by the irregularities of the snow surface.
